How does the checkoff work?
At the first point of sale, one-half cent on each bushel of corn marketed in Indiana is collected, and these funds are used for promotion, research and education at both the state and national levels.
Farmers do have the right to a refund within the law if they choose not to support the corn checkoff program. To get a refund, a farmer must fill out the refund application. Download the application here.
